I'm short so I hem almost all of my skirts and dresses from Vixen. I bought a black skirt from another brand thinking I could save myself some time but I was disappointed by the materials and quality so I promptly returned it and ordered this one. My waist is 26-26.75inches (depending on time of day, how much I eat, etc), and I purchased this in a size S. It is stiff in the waist, and I felt it tighten after a dinner of pasta accompanied by a nice glass of wine, but not significantly so. I had no fear of the zipper breaking, and I still felt comfortable. In fact, the tightness is part of the selling point, because it provides beautiful structure. I often size down to XS in Vixen, but S was perfect here. Definitely stick to the measurement of your waist for this one and you'll love this piece.

My waist is 32 most of the time and a large BARELY zipped up, so really follow that size guide as this fabric doesn't give! I'm really pleased with the skirt itself-- the rich black hue and the fullness of the skirt is just perfection. Highly recommend this as a staple for your closet.

I needed a basic gathered swing skirt for an everyday modern pinup look, and this skirt does the job well! I'm not crazy about the easily wrinkled fabric, but the shape and super deep pockets so make up for it. Definitely a must for your closet.

Had my eye on this one for a while, and ended up ordering it on Dec. 25th during the end of the year 15% off sale. Shipped out Dec. 26th and was delivered on Dec. 29th. Being in between sizes with a 39" waist, I went with size 3X and took in the waist myself by about an 1" in total. I'm 5' & 6 1/2" tall, and the bottom hits me right at the knees. The skirt also comes with pockets. Typically I'm more of a purse kind of woman, BUT the deep full pockets do come in handy for a quick trip to the post office or a visit to the laundromat.

I am in love with this skirt! It's so flattering, nips in at the waist and has enough volume going down from the hip that you don't need anything underneath to get an accentuated hourglass shape. This skirt is seriously amazing. I was able to wash and dry it over 20 times before the black dye started to fade. My favorite aspect of the skirt was the top stitching and interfacing inside of the waist band. It allows for the band to not roll or bunch. Very happy! I just ordered another one.
