This dress, like all Vacation dresses, is lush and soft and delicious. It's a truly beautiful black dress— all the features of this dress that look great on beautiful floral prints look equally great on straight-up black! But I did want to write this review to warn people NOT TO SIZE DOWN with this color. I thought I'd figured out my size in Vacation Dresses— I'm between sizes in Vixen, and it can be really confusing. But I appeared to be the smaller size in Vacation Dresses. However, after multiple dresses fitting comfortably in that size, the black dress was quite tight. It zipped up, but it was too tight to have that trademark Vacation Dress comfortable-ness, and even squeezed my hips outwards where the waist ended. I shipped it back and traded for the size up, which thankfully was available. Basically, to summarize: GORGEOUS DRESS, YAY! SIZE DOWN, NAY! Enjoy your gorgeous black dresses, y'all!

This is the best black dress ever! So flattering and always makes me feel good when I wear it! Its edgy, sexy and sweet all at the same time! My measurements are squarely in the size Large on the chart, but all my Vacation Dresses I've ordered previously have been Mediums. This is the only Vacation Dress I've ordered in a size Medium that was too small for me. I couldn't zip it all the way up. So I would say this black fabric is a bit more firm. I don't recommend sizing down in this one, though if you're between sizes you could definitely do it! I ended up ordering a Large and it fits perfectly! Gothic beauty!

Love this dress. fits great, especially for large busted girls as the bust and neckline are stretchy, I just wish the belt was a little smaller because it seems like the smallest fit of the belt is bigger than the waist, other than that it's perfect. For reference my measurements are 44-31-44 and I got the XL.

This dress is so comfy. I have two of the vacation dresses, one in S and one in XS. I got the XS in this and actually found it a better fit. I’m 33-26-36 so have that annoying tendency to fall between sizes when it comes to vixen. But yeah, size down with this, especially if you’re not blessed in the boob department like me!

Loved the vibe of this dress and once I put it on, I couldn't resist purchasing. It's very versatile, and so light and lovely to wear. It's got a comfortable amount of stretch. I'm often a Large in Vixen things that are either more firm or are form fitting on the bottom half, but since it's a dress with loose arms, I'm an easy Medium.

Such a comfortable dress fits perfectly but has some stretch which allows for any slight size fluctuations. This fabric barely creases so a great dress for trips with limited luggage space as it folds up small & comes out ready to wear.

Such a great everyday dress! I was going between the XS and the S but I ultimately went with the S for some extra room in the bodice. Since it comes with a belt, I was able to cinch my waist perfectly. Can't wait to order the red version!

I could perhaps have sized down in this - I’m a short, UK size 18-20 but with small boobs- and have plenty of room for the girls, but I’m not sure the 2X waist would have fitted.
I adore this dress, it’s so easy to dress up or down and super comfortable. And, you know this already, it has pockets. Which just about makes it the most perfect dress ever!

Its a little roomy in the bust but I think sizing down would mean it's too tight on the waist for me. The fabric feels nice to wear but is say it's more suited to Spring/Autumn than high Summer. It's also crease proof which is a bonus!

This dress is such a wonderful dress! Especially in this sw Louisiana heat and humidity. I got a medium and while it fit fantastic I believe I could have sized down (36-29-30-39). The top seems to be very big on me as I am not very big cup wise so will probably take the elastic in but it truly is a fantastic dress. I will probably order more!

I cannot sing the praises of this design enough. The Vacation dress is as close to perfection as I think you can get in a single garment of clothing.
I'm wearing the 3xl and my measurements are 50-39-49. The 3xl has a slight bit of room in the waist but that just leaves room for tacos or for those days when I'm feeling bloated. The sleeves are such a cool touch and hide my large arms that I'm really self conscious of. The pockets are AMAZING as always and the material is so great. Light but sturdy. Soft and comfy but provides a polished look!

In between 2x/3x size sisters... I can say get the 2x if you want to be the snack and 3x if you want to eat snacks. My measurements are in the dead zone of the chart 48 bust,39 waist and I wear 40F. The 2x belt fit fine on last or second to last hole, breasts are a tight fit without being super boobalicous, and firm fit but still comfy at waist. The 3x is definitely more roomy everywhere, it is crazy cozy and my normal bra doesn’t show. Which is a big plus for me.

I LOVE this dress. It’s so incredibly versatile, and the material is as wrinkle resistant as advertised. It is also incredibly comfortable. I was right in the middle of the size chart for the XL and it fits perfectly. I feel a bit like a pirate wench.....in a good way! My only small issue is that I'd like to push the sleeves up a little bit, but unfortunately the elastic is a bit too loose for me to do so - I think that part could be a little more fitted.
